VoicePad Orb won't appear on screen

If the floating Orb is missing, check that the feature is enabled before changing system settings. The fixes depend on your platform.

Windows: check the toggle and display

1. Open Settings → Dictation → VoicePad Orb and enable it.
2. If it is already enabled, turn it off and on, then restart VoicePad if needed.
3. If you recently changed monitors or display scaling, check the screen edges and other connected displays.

The Orb may have been dismissed or positioned outside the current visible area. Restarting can help, but do not assume every build resets the saved position.

Android: allow the overlay

1. Enable VoicePad Orb inside the app.
2. Open Android’s Display over other apps permission for VoicePad. It may be under Special app access.
3. Allow it and reopen VoicePad.

Android: check background restrictions

If the Orb disappears after a while, check the phone’s battery settings for VoicePad. Manufacturer-specific restrictions can stop background services. Test with an unrestricted setting where available, and enable autostart if your phone requires it.

macOS and iOS

On macOS, check Settings → Float Orb. Accessibility permission is needed for Direct typing. The Help Center does not document an iOS floating overlay equivalent; use the in-app mic there.

Separate Orb from Android Direct

The Android keyboard workflow is separate from the floating overlay. A missing Orb does not mean the VoicePad keyboard must also be unavailable.
