VoicePad on iPhone and iPad: getting started

VoicePad on iOS provides dictation, local history and supported phone–computer sync. Use the in-app recording controls and review the transcript before copying or sharing it.

Install and prepare

  1. Find VoicePad AI in the App Store and install it.
  2. Open the app and allow microphone access.
  3. Complete onboarding and select your language.
  4. Allow any required speech-model download to finish.
  5. Record a short sentence using the mic orb, stop and check the result.

Use the current App Store listing for device compatibility and storage requirements rather than an older fixed requirement in a guide.

Everyday dictation

Start and stop using the main mic. Wait for processing, review the text, then copy it or use the sharing action offered by the app. History lets you find earlier notes by their content.

Sync with a computer

The Help Center documents WiFi sync with Windows and macOS. Keep both apps open on a local network that allows communication and enable the relevant sync controls.

Platform differences

The iOS Help Center does not document the Android floating overlay or VoicePad system keyboard as equivalent iOS features. Use the instructions provided by your installed build. USB sync, voice commands and other planned workflows should be checked in the roadmap and release notes before relying on them.

Recording and app updates

If your build stops recording when the screen locks, use the dedicated troubleshooting guide. Test a short note before a longer session and confirm it appears in History.

Keep the app updated through the App Store. Export important notes before reinstalling, since app removal can remove local data.

Restore Pro

Use Restore Purchases with the Apple Account used to buy Pro, or the activation method for your registered Founding Member entitlement.
