How do I use VoicePad Direct?
VoicePad Direct types your words **directly into any app** — Gmail, Word, WhatsApp, ChatGPT, anywhere you can type. Not clipboard-then-paste. Direct injection at your cursor, in real time.
**Available on:** Windows, macOS, Android (iOS coming).
**Windows setup:**
1. Settings → Dictation → VoicePad Orb → enable **VoicePad Direct**
2. Minimize VoicePad — the Orb floats on top of all apps
3. Tap the Orb — an 8-second click window opens
4. **Click where you want text to appear** — email body, Word document, any text field
5. Speak — text types directly at your cursor as Whisper processes each chunk
6. Tap the Orb to stop — your text is already in place
**Android setup:**
1. Settings → VoicePad Orb → enable **VoicePad Direct**
2. Grant the **Accessibility Service permission** when prompted
3. Tap the floating bubble — 8-second click window opens
4. Tap the text field where you want to write
5. Speak — text flows directly into the field
**macOS setup:**
1. Settings → Float Orb → enable **VoicePad Direct**
2. Grant Accessibility permission in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Accessibility
3. Tap the Orb → click your target → speak → tap to stop
**What happens if you don't click within 8 seconds?**
VoicePad Direct falls back to clipboard mode automatically. Your text is still copied — nothing is lost. You just need to paste it manually.
