How do I deactivate a device I no longer have?
You sold your laptop. Lost your phone. Need to free up a device slot without access to that specific device. Here's how.
**The web flow at voicepad.tech/account:**
1. Open VoicePad on any of your other active devices
2. Settings → License → **Copy Pro Token**
3. Open [voicepad.tech/account](https://voicepad.tech/account) in any browser
4. Paste your Pro Token in the input field
5. Click **Load My Devices**
6. You'll see every device on your license — platform (Windows/Android/iOS/macOS), country, activated date, last seen
7. Find the device you want to remove
8. Click **Deactivate** next to it
9. Confirm — the slot is freed immediately
**The freed slot is now available** for a new device. Activate any new device with your email and the new device takes that slot.
**Why we built this:**
Device loss is real. Phones get stolen, laptops get sold, work computers get returned at the end of jobs. You shouldn't be locked out of your own license because of life events. This is the workaround.
**What if I don't have ANY active device?**
Email support@voicepad.tech with the email address used for your purchase. We'll verify and free up your license manually within 24 hours.
**Privacy note:** The device list shows only what's needed for management (platform, country, dates). No tracking, no GPS, no surveillance. We use country only for license fraud detection — to flag unusual activation patterns.
