How do I bulk-delete history items (Clear Selected vs Clear All)?

Use Clear Selected to remove a batch of unwanted notes, or Clear All to empty your history. Review the selection before confirming: deletions can also affect your synced devices.


Delete selected entries on Windows

  1. Open History from the footer.
  2. Tick the checkbox on each entry you want to remove.
  3. Check the number shown on Clear Selected.
  4. Click the button, review the confirmation and confirm only when the selection is correct.

Multi-select is documented for Windows builds from v2.1.2. If your app has no checkboxes, check for an update.


Clear the whole history

Open the history sidebar, choose Clear All and review the entry count in the confirmation dialog. This removes every history entry covered by that action.


Delete on mobile

The documented mobile workflow is to swipe a history card left to delete it. Use Clear All only when you intend to remove the entire history.


Export before deleting

Keep an export of notes you may need later. A readable text export is useful for reference; use a supported structured export if you plan to import it into VoicePad again. Do not assume a TXT file is a restorable backup.


What happens after sync?

VoicePad records deletions so removed items do not simply reappear from another device. Treat deletion as affecting your synced history, and export important work first.
