What is the Activity screen?

Activity is a dedicated screen showing **how much you've dictated, how much time you've saved compared to typing, and your daily streak**. 100% local — your stats never leave your device. Open it from **Settings → Activity**. Switch between Daily / Weekly / Monthly tabs. **New in v2.1.0.** Currently Android-only. iOS support coming. **What you see — three KPI cards:** | Card | Shows | |------|-------| | **Words** | Total words dictated in the selected period | | **Sessions** | Number of dictation sessions in the period | | **Time** | Total recording time in the period | **Time Saved card:** An estimate of minutes saved vs typing. Shown as a range: - **Lower bound:** 50 words/minute (desktop typing average) - **Upper bound:** 30 words/minute (mobile typing, conservative) Example: 1,500 dictated words → "30–50 minutes saved vs typing". **Streaks & records card:** - 🔥 **Current streak** — consecutive days you dictated at least once (your local time zone) - **Longest session** — longest single dictation in the selected period - **Best day** — day with most words (e.g., "Tuesday · 1,230 words") The streak counter is **global** — reflects your full history, not just the selected tab. Longest session and Best day update per tab. **Privacy footer:** The Activity screen shows "0 bytes sent — fully offline ✓" because that's the literal truth. Activity is computed entirely on your device. Zero telemetry. No analytics. No cloud sync of stats. **Empty states:** If you haven't dictated yet, Activity shows a friendly placeholder. If a specific tab has no data (e.g., Daily on a quiet day) but other periods do, that tab shows "No dictations today. Start now!" while keeping your global streak card visible. **Coming later:** - **Per-language breakdown** — see EN vs DE word counts side by side. In a future v2.2.x update (requires a small database upgrade). - **iOS** — currently Android-only. iOS support is on the roadmap. **Why Activity matters:** Most productivity tools show you stats so they can sell you more product. VoicePad shows you stats because the numbers are genuinely interesting — and they're yours, computed on your device, never reported anywhere.
