Development update — Windows: personal dictionary work is underway

Work is underway on a Windows personal dictionary, following the Android design. It will let you save corrections for names, specialist terms and frequently misheard phrases.

Implemented on the development branch

  • Personal entries and corrections: a dedicated store supports whole-word and phrase matching while protecting URLs and email addresses.
  • Entry editor: entries can include several misheard forms, language-specific corrections and word endings. Short or common words trigger a warning.
  • Translated interface: dictionary text has been added in the nine planned app languages. Wording review and device checks remain.

Still in progress

The complete Settings, import/export, optional learning and dictation workflow still need completion and testing.

Corrections apply after transcription. Recognition boosting remains disabled, and the speech model is not retrained.
