The Android v3 release candidate includes a personal dictionary for names, specialist vocabulary and phrases that need a consistent correction.
Add and manage corrections
- Select text in Reader or on the finished dictation card to add a personal correction. Copy, Share and Save use your edited text.
- Manage entries in Settings, import and export dictionaries, and generate likely mishearings locally for correcting later dictations.
- Confirm corrections involving short or common words. Learning preserves sentence boundaries and the note's language.
Optional learning and easier editing
- Learning from corrections is off by default. Each learned pair gets its own notice and can be undone.
- Reset the list of declined suggestions when you want to review them again.
- The finished card stays usable while editing, and the dictionary action remains above the Android keyboard.
- Duration and word count remain readable at larger text sizes.
How it works: personal corrections apply after transcription. They do not retrain the speech model.
